This is a powerpoint about Neurophysiology!!! I did a virtual lab and have a great explanation about what we did and types of cells I found.

Standard 6 2nd Quarter
So far in Anatomy and Physiology we have had 6 blog posts, 1 quiz and 1 contest. This second quarter I thought that I did really well. My posts were really thorough and explain the topic well. The best posts i would say I have is the food lab, keratosis pilaris and the other blogs. I did a majority of these by my self and put a lot of effort into them. My worst post is the skeletal system only because I don't think it looks good and is very vague, I do know the skull but I didn't think to tape my self doing the contest or taking pictures of my studying the skull. Some details I could work on is bringing in outside media sources like more pictures or you tube videos. I did use more media with this quarter because I did put my own video on my blog and used a few pictures and I used outside information to gain more knowledge on the subject. I would say that my work is "4" material. I do put a lot of effort and time for each post and try to keep the work 4 material. I want to keep the standard of my work high so I don't slack off, procrastinate, or turn in not quality work. That would be my goal for next quarter also to use more media sources and other sources.

Food lab and muscle activity
Check out our food lab!!! It has a great overview of what happened and what we thought happened!
This is a video using a muscle stimulator.
What happened on this video is that we attached a muscle stimulator to Dakota's arm in the forearm and muscle. When we turned it on the stimulator sent electric shocks to the arms causing it to twitch and freak out. If used incorrectly or at a higher stimulation it can cause skin issues with burns. Dakota was at level 4.5 out of ten which is why he lifted his arm. Pretty cool stuff science is!

Skeletal System (The skull)
This is a great picture of the Skull. In A&P we specialized in a certain area of the body. I chose the skull. This front part of the skull was the easiest to remember because the words make sense with the bone. Ex: the Nasal Bone is where your nose is and the mental protruberance is the "but crack of your chin". Also when you try to memorize the skull you can touch your face which helps you remember what is what and where it is.
The lateral side of the skull is a little harder to remember. But the suture's of the skull go in order by word. Ex: Frontal bone (front), Coronal Suture (core/middle), Squamous Suture (small) etc. The Mastoid Process is where your jaw connects to the rest of your head. Just to let you know.
This is the other side of the skull and the have most of the same bone's and suture's.
With all these bones and sutures I was able to understand the skull and label the skull. In A&P there was a contest to label the skull in 4 minutes. Out of all the parts of the skull I labeled 35 parts. I had about 15 left on my sheet of paper that I knew and memorized. The skull is the most complicated part of the body. I am proud to say I know the skull pretty well. Also on the skeletal test I got a 94!!
Neuromuscular Junction
This is a prezi about Neuromuscular Junction how it works scientifically and how it works pre-k version with pictures!!
